HD Hyundai Electric and LG CNS forge partnership to boost AI data-center power and factory automation
HD Hyundai Electric and LG CNS have signed an MOU to combine power-equipment expertise with data-center design skills, targeting AI-focused facilities and smarter manufacturing.
HD Hyundai Electric and LG CNS announced a memorandum of understanding that merges HD Hyundai Electric's power-equipment and distribution capabilities with LG CNS's experience in building and operating data centers. The partnership will deliver bundled power and distribution hardware for AI-driven data centers, pursuing opportunities domestically and internationally. It also includes integrating LG CNS's technology into HD Hyundai Electric's power-monitoring platform to raise data-center energy efficiency.
On the manufacturing side, LG CNS will use production data from HD Hyundai Electric's facilities to apply AI for logistics and process automation, beginning with the Cheongju Power Distribution Campus. The companies plan to standardize these smart-factory practices across all global sites. CEOs Kim Young-ki and Hyun Shin-gyoon emphasized that the cooperation is intended to improve efficiency and create new growth avenues worldwide.
