Health Minister meets family of nurse killed in Sarawak helicopter crash
Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad visited nurse Debra Moset's family in Padawan, offering condolences and aid after she died in the FDS helicopter crash.
Dzulkefly Ahmad, the Health Minister, travelled to Rabak Rimu in Kampung Semadang, Padawan, to console the relatives of Debra Moset, a 40-year-old nurse killed in the Flying Doctor Service helicopter accident. He was joined by Health Ministry secretary-general Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad and Sarawak Health Department deputy director Banges Munga. During the visit he spoke with Moset's 71-year-old mother Renog Rasas and the nurse's children, urging them to pursue their education.
The BO-105 helicopter crashed while attempting to land at the Long Lellang STOL port on Sept 8, killing four other crew members. All victims were later identified through DNA testing and their remains returned to families. The FDS operations have been suspended pending a thorough safety review.
