Health ministry announces foundation's repayment of state funds and launch of dissolution proceedings

The health minister disclosed that the foundation founded by Kőnig Róbert has reimbursed the state for a sizable grant it received last year. The minister highlighted that the foundation’s stated aim was to improve health awareness and patient information, but noted that the planned projects lacked proper consultation with health sector leaders and patient organisations. The Betegszervezetek Magyarországi Szövetsége had earlier criticized the grant, pointing out disparities between new foundations receiving large sums and long-standing disease organisations facing funding shortfalls.
