Heavy rain shuts E6 between Lillehammer and Biri until Monday morning
The E6 highway between Lillehammer and Biri is closed in both directions due to flooding, with reopening slated for Monday at 7 a.m.
Floodwaters have forced the closure of the E6 stretch between Lillehammer and Biri, and officials say the road will stay shut until 7 a.m. on Monday. The traffic control centre reported water accumulation near Biristrand, and drivers are advised to use county road 213 east of Moelv and to reduce speed. Ongoing rain continues across the region, and three mountain passes in Gudbrandsdalen—Sognefjellet, Valdresflye and Friisvegen—are also closed.
Why it matters
Drivers need to know the closure and detour options to avoid delays and stay safe.
