Helicopter search yields no trace of 17 missing Malaysians in Nepal floods
A helicopter sweep in Nepal's Rasuwa district failed to locate 17 missing Malaysian tourists after flash floods.
Following flash floods in Nepal's Rasuwa district, a helicopter search was conducted to find 17 Malaysians among a group of 27 tourists who vanished when six vehicles were carried away. Fishtail Tours & Travels representative Roshan Panday reported that the aircraft made four passes over the suspected site and examined a nearby forest, yet no trace of the travelers or their possessions was discovered. The team also inspected a 30-kilometre downstream corridor at low altitude, still finding nothing.
Parallel efforts involved scanning hospitals for any injured individuals and comparing recovered bodies to the missing list, but no matches have been confirmed. The search operation remains ongoing, with the agency planning to continue aerial and ground efforts.
