High-speed Thar crashes into MLA Ashok Chandana's wife's SUV, injuring three e-rickshaw riders

In Jaipur, police reported that a Thar traveling at high speed struck an Endeavour at an intersection close to Mansarovar Metro Station shortly after 1 a.m. The Endeavour, registered to Lalita Chandana, the spouse of Congress MLA Ashok Chandana, was hit while turning, after which the Thar plowed into a nearby e-rickshaw, propelling it about 50 feet and destroying the vehicle. Three e-rickshaw occupants—Boduram Sahu, Umashankar Sharma and Mukesh Kumar—were taken to a private hospital, with two listed as critical.

The drivers of both SUVs abandoned the scene, prompting police to confiscate the vehicles and launch an investigation that includes CCTV analysis. The FIR alleges reckless driving and drunkenness, though it remains unclear whether Lalita Chandana was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
