Holly Marie Combs Announces Retirement from Acting to Prioritize Family and Business

During a recent podcast, Holly Marie Combs confirmed she is stepping back from acting, citing a lack of compelling offers and a desire to concentrate on her family. She highlighted that, despite reduced ageism, no current script feels worth pursuing, leading her to prioritize her three sons—Finley, Riley and Kelley—whom she shares with ex-husband David Donoho. At 52, Combs now channels her energy into a podcast and roughly fifteen business ventures, while acknowledging occasional nostalgia for the on-set experience.

She suggested a possible comeback could occur once her youngest child graduates high school, giving her more free time. The actress began her career as a child, earning a Screen Actors Guild card at 14, and rose to fame as Kimberly Brock on Picket Fences and as Piper Halliwell on Charmed, where she later served as a producer. Subsequent roles included a recurring part on Pretty Little Liars and a 2019 guest spot on Grey’s Anatomy with Alyssa Milano.
