Hollywood stars push for release of convicted Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti
A group of Marvel-linked actors has signed a petition calling for Israel to free Marwan Barghouti, despite his convictions for five murders.
A coalition of over twenty actors associated with the Marvel franchise, such as Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton, have endorsed a petition demanding Israel release Marwan Barghouti, the former leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. Barghouti was convicted in an Israeli civilian trial of five murders - Greek Orthodox priest Georgios Tsibouktzakis, American mother Yoela Hen, restaurant victims Eli Dahan, Yosef Habi and Druze police officer Salim Barakat - and received five life sentences.
