Homeless suspect threatens Roc Nation CEO with death threats outside Manhattan office
A man identified as a homeless individual confronted Roc Nation chief Desiree Perez outside the company’s Chelsea headquarters, shouting that she would die.
Law-enforcement sources reported that a homeless man, familiar to both Manhattan and the Bronx, approached Desiree Perez, the CEO of Roc Nation, outside the firm’s Chelsea office and declared, “You are going to die.” The confrontation took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday near West 26th Street and 11th Avenue. Investigators say the individual has been targeting Perez with verbal threats since May, using social-media messages and rap lyrics that reference the entertainment company.
Perez, who helped launch Roc Nation with Jay-Z and has coordinated NFL halftime shows since 2019, was unharmed during the incident. No arrest has been made, and Roc Nation has not responded to comment requests. The case remains under investigation.
