Houthis report 26 Saudi airstrikes in Yemen within 24 hours

The Houthi movement said Saudi Arabia carried out 26 airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen in the past day.

According to the Houthis, Saudi forces launched 26 strikes against territories they control across Yemen over a 24-hour period. They added that the total number of Saudi attacks on their positions has risen to 300 in the last week. The clashes come as fighting has intensified since the conflict, largely dormant since 2022, flared again in July.

Why it matters

The surge in Saudi strikes signals a sharp escalation in the Yemen war, threatening regional security and civilian safety.
