Houthis Say They Hit Aden Government HQ, Label It Saudi War Room
The Houthi movement claimed responsibility for striking the government headquarters in Aden, calling the site a Saudi war operations centre.
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that the group attacked the Aden government building, which he described as housing a Saudi war room. He warned that any Saudi military or economic presence on Yemeni soil would be a legitimate target. Prime Minister Shaya Zindani, who escaped injury, condemned the strike as cowardly and vowed it would not weaken Yemeni forces fighting the Houthis along the Red Sea coast and other fronts.
Why it matters
The strike highlights the escalating proxy conflict in Yemen and the Houthis' targeting of Saudi-linked facilities.
