HS Hyosung to Pour $100 Million Into New Vietnamese Carpet Plant
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials announced a $100 million investment to build a carpet factory in Da Da Nang's Tam Thang Industrial Park, targeting completion by 2029.
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials disclosed a $100 million plan to construct a new carpet manufacturing facility in Vietnam’s Da Nang, with a groundbreaking ceremony held on Tuesday. The project will enlarge the existing Quang Nam campus by 110,000 sq m, bringing the total footprint to half a million square metres and will house a full yarn-to-carpet production line for bulk-continuous-filament yarn and finished carpets. The plant aims to serve the automotive sector and commercial building market, with an eye on eco-friendly products such as bio-based PET and recycled-material carpets for electric vehicles.
Leveraging six decades of textile expertise, the company expects the integrated system to boost efficiency and quality. The facility is scheduled for completion in 2029, strengthening HS Hyosung’s position in the global mobility materials arena.
