HSL introduces daily price cap for contactless adult tickets

HSL announced a daily price ceiling for adult single tickets purchased through contactless methods. If a passenger buys multiple tickets within 24 hours, the total cost is capped at €10.60 for travel limited to zones A and B, and €12.80 when any travel includes zone C. The cap is calculated based on all zones visited during the day, and once reached, no further charges apply for additional tickets bought with the same card or device.

Riders must still validate a ticket before each trip, and the cap does not apply to tickets bought via the HSL app or HSL card. The policy is intended to make spontaneous public-transport use easier by removing the need to calculate whether a daily pass is more economical. The cap will initially be tested only for contactless payments, with possible expansion later.
