Hull City target Japan winger Keito Nakamura amid Premier League interest
Hull City have shown interest in signing Japan international Keito Nakamura from Stade de Reims, whose asking price is seen as a barrier.
Hull City have indicated a desire to acquire Japan winger Keito Nakamura from Stade de Reims, where he is listed at £21.5m. The 26-year-old, who started every World Cup game for Japan and earned a place in Opta's group-stage team, finished last season as Reims' top scorer with 14 goals despite the club's relegation. Hull, who have already spent an estimated £76m on eleven new signings this summer, including compatriot Hidemasa Morita, hope Nakamura can bolster their Premier League squad.
Earlier interest from clubs like Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Villarreal and Besiktas has not materialised due to the price tag. Nakamura, praised for his pace and work rate, also enjoys a growing personal brand that extends into fashion, with appearances at events such as Paris Fashion Week.
Why it matters
The move could strengthen Hull City's attack and highlights the growing market for Japanese talent in Europe.
