Human remains found after Feltham wildfire identified as missing Southampton mother
Police have identified bones uncovered in Feltham after a blaze as those of Joanne Sheen, a mother of three who vanished in 2019.
Bones recovered from a wooded area in Feltham after a recent fire have been positively identified as those of Joanne Sheen, a 44-year-old mother of three who disappeared in December 2019. The discovery, made by a member of the public, prompted a murder investigation that was transferred from the Metropolitan Police to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. Detectives have pursued more than 4,000 investigative leads, taken over 300 statements and searched numerous properties and vessels.
A 56-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and remains in custody. Authorities have reinstated a £20,000 Crimestoppers reward and continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
