Humanitarian chief warns Gaza and West Bank conditions have become catastrophic

In a recent interview, Athena Rayburn, executive director of the Association of International Development Agencies, described how Israeli actions have pushed basic survival in Gaza and the West Bank to the brink. She noted that over two million people in Gaza are confined to a tiny area where Israeli forces regularly bomb the population. Essential services such as clean water, food, electricity, medicine and shelter are scarce because of strict Israeli limits on aid. While the U.S.-backed Board of Peace claims progress, Rayburn argued the reality on the ground is dire.
