Hundreds of Teens Overrun Aurora Mall, Storm Burger King and Grocery Store

A group of roughly 500 adolescents, primarily between 14 and 17 years old, converged on the Hoffman Heights Shopping Centre in Aurora, Colorado, after an unpermitted sporting event. At approximately 1:30 p.m., they flooded the complex, prompting a response from over 70 Aurora Police Department officers who attempted to disperse the unlawful assembly. The teens forced their way into a Burger King, where they crowded the dining area, sang, and jumped on tables, causing one to collapse, and also entered a King Soopers supermarket, where they tossed items, raced through aisles and stole merchandise.

No arrests have been reported, and police are reviewing video evidence to pinpoint participants. Chief Todd Chamberlain criticized the parents for failing to control their children and warned that such large, unruly gatherings divert police from other emergencies. The event appears linked to social-media influencer Grady Ferrick, who promoted the gathering while marketing a vitamin brand.
