Hungarian committee backs Tisza Party's constitutional court nominees with eight votes each
The Justice and Constitution Committee endorsed the Tisza Party's slate of constitutional court candidates, each receiving eight yes votes, and the full parliament will vote on Tuesday.
Following hearings, the nine-member Justice and Constitution Committee voted to support the Tisza Party's constitutional court nominees, granting eight affirmative votes to each. Candidates from the Mi Hazánk Mozgalom each obtained a single yes vote. Other nominees received between five and eight yes votes, with two members voting against Szmodis Jenő. Committee chair Hantosi István said the Országgyűlés will decide on the appointments on Tuesday.
