Hungarian Parliament to Vote on NVVH Deputy Heads and Multiple Legislative Changes
The Országgyűlés will decide on three deputy heads of the NVVH, revive a health-chamber law, and consider several tax and budget amendments on Tuesday.
The Országgyűlés is set to choose the three deputy heads of the Nemzeti Vagyonvisszaszerzési és Vagyonvédelmi Hivatal (NVVH) on Tuesday, alongside confirming a law that restores compulsory health-chamber membership after a presidential veto. Parliament will also deliberate a tax amendment allowing a 25-forint higher excise refund on commercial diesel until year-end, and will vote on a new appointment to the Nemzeti Média- és Hírközlési Hatóság Media Council.
Other agenda items include revisions to one outlet budget, a child-protection legislative package, and several sector-specific law changes ranging from food-chain oversight to grape-vine disease regulation. The sessions will feature nominations for senior judicial and prosecutorial positions within the NVVH, as well as discussions on transparency measures for state assets and anti-money-laundering rules.
Why it matters
These votes will shape Hungary's asset recovery agency leadership, health policy, tax relief and media oversight.
