Hungarian teen linked to international 764 child-exploitation network after animal cruelty case
A 14-year-old boy in Oroszlány was identified as a member of the 764 online child-exploitation group following the discovery of a murdered cat and a note bearing the network’s code.
In the Hungarian town of Oroszlány, law enforcement found a slain cat alongside a knife and a sheet of paper that referenced the number 764 and aggressive terms, prompting a probe that identified a 14-year-old resident as a participant in the 764 online criminal network. The teenager confessed that he had connected to the group through the Discord platform, where members manipulate and blackmail minors into committing increasingly brutal offenses.
The 764 organization was created by a 15-year-old American, Bradley Chance Cadenhead, who was sentenced to 80 years in prison but whose network continues to function internationally. Officials warn that the group’s decentralized structure makes dismantling it difficult and that its influence now extends to Hungarian children. The incident serves as a warning about the dangers of extremist online circles that can lure youths into severe criminal behavior.
