Husband arrested for stabbing his wife to death in Hong Kong flat

A 51-year-old man turned himself in after his 53-year-old wife was found stabbed to death in their Heng Fa Chuen apartment.

Officers responding to a call at a Heng Fa Chuen flat on Shing Tai Road found a 53-year-old woman dead, suffering several stab wounds to her neck, waist and hands. The victim’s 51-year-old husband, who works in information technology, arrived at Kowloon City police station around 7.30 pm and confessed to attacking her with a kitchen knife. A preliminary forensic examination confirmed the injuries and placed the murder on September 16, sometime between early morning and later that day.

Police say the suspect had recently taken risky investments and accumulated debts over HK$1 million, which may have fueled disputes with his spouse. The couple’s two sons, 22 and 15, were unharmed, and investigators found no history of domestic violence in the household.
