Hyundai Motor supplied 11 County electric buses to Bali, launching the island’s first electric public-transport service.
Hyundai Motor announced delivery of 11 County electric buses to Bali, marking the debut of electric public transport on the tourist island. The buses arrive under an official development assistance program after Hyundai won a Global Green Growth Institute bid in October 2025. Each 20-seat bus carries a 128 kWh battery and can travel over 200 km per charge. This follows a similar shipment to Surabaya in November 2024. The rollout aims to boost greener mobility in Indonesia.
Why it matters
Introducing electric buses in Bali advances Indonesia's sustainable transport and reduces emissions on a major tourist destination.
