Hyundai Motor India has officially presented the India-specific Bayon SUV ahead of its market debut on Oct 26, 2026, and opened bookings with an INR 11,000 reservation fee through dealers and the brand’s website. Marketed as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, the Bayon features a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine producing 115 hp and 144 Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. Exterior styling includes a sculpted bonnet, full-width LED light bar, Z-shaped side lines and chunky bumper trim, while the rear carries a matching LED taillight strip and rugged roof rails.
Technologically, the SUV debuts Hyundai’s Generative AI Voice Assistant—combining Perplexity’s intelligence with SoundHound AI’s voice capabilities—and an NVIDIA-powered Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, plus C-OTA support for up to 19 vehicle controllers. The cabin houses twin 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays that create a unified digital cockpit, and the infotainment system offers Hyundai Bluelink with more than 70 connected functions, regional language support and over 500 offline voice commands. Hyundai plans to begin deliveries during the festive period, with detailed schedules to be announced at launch.
