ICAC probes lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood again as Operation Rosny enters week seven

Operation Rosny entered its seventh week of public hearings as the ICAC called lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood back to the witness box. Greenwood, previously examined in early August, is now being questioned about a separate allegation that property developer Jean Nassif offered $2 million to be divided between Greenwood, Charles Perrottet and Christian Ellis in exchange for political outcomes. The commission previously heard that Greenwood’s firm received payments from Catholic Schools NSW, allegedly to support Liberal Party branch-stacking, and that he facilitated a payment to former deputy premier Jean-Claude Perrottet to flee to Fiji.

Additional testimony has highlighted alleged sham contracts used by Dallas McInerney to funnel school funds to Liberal factional operators. The hearings also featured references to phone-tap recordings where Nassif boasted of influence over state officials and to Charles Perrottet’s alleged knowledge of a leak about David Chandler. The investigation continues to examine the flow of money and potential corruption within the state’s political and education sectors.
