iCAUR to debut hybrid SUVs in Hungary via Grand Automotive in early 2027

The Chinese brand iCAUR will begin selling its V27 hybrid SUV in Hungary at the start of 2027, with Grand Automotive handling imports.

Hungarian sales of the Chinese automaker iCAUR are set to start in the first months of 2027, with Grand Automotive acting as the official importer after previously launching Chery in the country. iCAUR aims to stand out with its boxy, classic-styled SUVs, highlighted by the V27 model that employs a range-extending hybrid architecture: electric motors power the wheels while a small gasoline engine recharges the battery.

The vehicle supports external charging, allowing short trips to be run purely on electricity. An all-wheel-drive variant delivers close to 450 horsepower and, according to the manufacturer, a combined driving range of roughly 1,000 kilometres. While exact Hungarian prices remain undisclosed, price points in neighboring markets hint at a mid-range positioning. The launch marks iCAUR's first entry into the Central European market.

Why it matters

The launch introduces a new hybrid SUV option to Hungarian consumers and signals expanding Chinese automotive presence in Europe.
