Immigration raid detains four foreign men at same-sex dance venue in KL
Police from the Immigration Department and the National Anti-Drug Agency seized four male foreign workers at a Jalan Klang Lama entertainment centre offering same-gender dance shows.
In a pre-dawn sweep, the Immigration Department, together with the National Anti-Drug Agency, raided an entertainment centre on Jalan Klang Lama in Kuala Lumpur. Officers detained three Chinese men and one Filipino man, ages 21 to 31, citing breaches of Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. Three Malaysian men received summonses to appear at the Putrajaya Immigration Office for further investigation.
The establishment, which opened last year, is alleged to have provided same-gender dance performances targeting both local and overseas customers, with fees ranging from RM53 to RM700 depending on drink orders and table bookings. Authorities said the operation aimed to curb illegal immigration and related illicit activities. The detained individuals were transferred to the Putrajaya Immigration Office for processing.
