Independent Women’s Voice launches AI ad to warn young voters about DSA promises
The conservative group Independent Women’s Voice debuted an AI-generated video that dramatizes a future where DSA-backed policies lead to shortages and chaos, aiming to deter young supporters.
Independent Women’s Voice, a conservative advocacy organization focused on women and swing voters, has released an AI-produced commercial called “Take Me Back!”. The narrative follows a young woman who embraces Democratic Socialists of America slogans such as “free healthcare” and “defund the police,” only to awaken in the year 2050 to a dystopian reality of hospital backlogs, empty store shelves, unchecked crime, and forced housing assignments.
The dramatization concludes with her ripping a DSA poster from her wall, symbolizing disillusionment. Heather Higgins, the group’s CEO, explained that traditional warnings about socialism have lost impact, prompting a shift toward more surprising, creative messaging. The ad, which avoids direct references to socialism or historical lessons, is intended to expose the disparity between promised benefits and actual results. It will appear on social media beginning Thursday as part of a series designed to inoculate young people against what the group calls ideological poison spreading nationwide.
Why it matters
The ad reflects how political groups are using AI-driven media to influence young voters' perceptions of left-wing policies.
