India aligns LPG refill booking gap to 25 days for all households

Suresh Gopi, Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism, declared that the LPG refill booking interval will be standardized at 25 days for both rural and urban consumers, cutting the rural gap from 45 days. The longer interval had been imposed when supply constraints, tied to the Middle East conflict, forced a stricter limit on rural bookings while urban users were already limited to 25 days. With the supply situation improving and the backlog shrinking, the centre decided to relax the restriction across the country.
