India is expanding its development assistance to Palestine, highlighted by the signing of a memorandum of understanding to build a 200-bed Indian Super-Speciality Hospital that will include state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated trauma centre. The agreement was announced in New Delhi, where Palestinian ambassador Abdullah Abu Shawesh used the occasion to endorse India's campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2028-29 term.
Alongside the health project, MEA secretary Sripriya Ranganathan revealed an MoU to establish a technical and vocational education and training centre within the Palestinian National Printing Press, targeting skill development in the printing industry. The initiatives reflect a broader effort by India to deepen ties with Palestine through infrastructure and capacity-building support. Both parties presented the deals as steps toward stronger bilateral cooperation and regional stability.
