India blames Pakistan for fostering 9/11 architects and terror groups at UN

During a UN Security Council session on Afghanistan, India’s envoy Harish Parvathaneni asserted that al-Qaeda’s 9/11 architects, including Osama bin Laden, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi Binalshibh, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi, were apprehended in Pakistani cities rather than hidden in wilderness. He condemned Pakistan for providing a “permissive environment” that allowed those operatives and current affiliates like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed to thrive.

Parvathaneni urged the international community to dismantle this sanctuary to prevent future terror threats. The speech also raised alarm over the involuntary, unsafe return of over three million Afghan refugees, urging voluntary and dignified repatriation with sustained aid. He called for coordinated global action to protect civilians from terror financing and support networks.
