India deportes three Bambiha gang members seized in Malaysia
Indian authorities announced the return of three Bambiha operatives captured in Malaysia, where they had been coordinating extortion and hit-jobs for the group’s leader.
In a coordinated operation, Indian law-enforcement agencies secured the deportation of three members of the Bambiha gang who had been residing in Malaysia. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Jaspreet Singh, also known as Jas Behbal, along with Ajay Singh (alias Ajay Malaysia) and Pawandeep Singh, were apprehended abroad and returned to India. The trio is alleged to have overseen extortion rackets and ordered contract killings for the organization’s leader, Lucky Patial.
Their capture adds to a series of repatriations that total 51 hardened criminals in 2026. Authorities also linked the three to cross-border arms and narcotics smuggling and a foiled grenade plot in Ludhiana. The move underscores India’s intensified effort to dismantle transnational crime networks.
