India's Foreign Minister Jaishankar to Lead India-Russia Trade and Science Talks

India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to embark on a two-day official trip to Russia on August 23-24. During the visit, he will serve as co-chair of the 27th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission, which addresses trade, economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation. The Ministry of External Affairs released a statement outlining the objectives, which include strengthening commercial links and fostering joint research initiatives.

Participants anticipate that the dialogue will open new markets for Indian exporters and create collaborative platforms for scientific and tech enterprises. The commission’s agenda also covers cultural exchanges, aiming to broaden people-to-people ties.
