India's men and women kabaddi squads have won all their group matches at the Asian Games 2026 and are set for semi-finals, guaranteeing at least bronze medals.
At the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, India's kabaddi squads remain unbeaten, keeping alive the chance for a historic gold-medal double. The men's team, under captain Sunil Kumar, posted a 48-25 triumph over Bangladesh on September 23, having previously routed Japan 49-24 and South Korea 63-31, which clinched a place in the semi-finals. The women's team, captained by Pushpa Rana, overcame Iran 37-23 after an opening 42-21 win against Bangladesh, guaranteeing a top-two group finish.
Both sides are assured of at least bronze, as losing semi-finalists receive that medal. Their last group fixtures are scheduled for September 24—men versus Chinese Taipei at 9:45 am IST and women versus Japan at 4:15 pm IST—followed by semi-finals on September 25 and gold-medal contests on September 26.
