India's occupied office inventory grew 7% year-on-year to about 918 million sq ft by September, with Bengaluru remaining the largest market and Pune surpassing 100 million sq ft.

Real-estate consultancy Knight Frank reports that India's occupied office stock increased by 7% year-on-year, reaching almost 918 million sq ft across eight key markets by the end of September. Bengaluru continued to lead, its occupied space rising 9% to 227.9 million sq ft. Pune crossed the 100-million-sq-ft milestone, recording 101 million sq ft, a 9% increase from the previous year. Hyderabad showed the strongest growth among cities with over 100 million sq ft, expanding 11% to 119.8 million sq ft. The National Capital Region grew 2% to 178.3 million sq ft, while Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata each posted gains of 5-9%. Ahmedabad, the only market below 100 million sq ft, rose 10% to 28 million sq ft. Viral Desai of Knight Frank said the figures reflect ongoing business expansion and changing workplace requirements.
