India's passenger vehicle shipments surge 36.5% to 439,309 units in August

In August, domestic passenger vehicle dispatches to dealers jumped 36.5% from a year earlier, totaling 439,309 units, as stated by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). The same period recorded a 10.5% rise in two-wheelers, with sales hitting 2,034,698 units, up from 1,841,954 units a year ago. Three-wheelers also saw a notable increase, climbing 22.8% to 93,764 units versus 76,324 units previously.
