India signs on to US-led coalition of 25 nations for future 6G development
India has joined a US-coordinated group of 24 other countries to shape the rollout of next-generation 6G networks.
At the G20 Innovation Ministerial, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada met with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and announced India's participation in a 25-nation effort led by the United States. The coalition aims to align 6G development with shared security goals, boost competitiveness and spur innovation. The announcement was made as the G20 Summit convenes in Miami.
