India to Host Over 130 Nations at Bharat Renewable Energy Summit in November
More than 130 countries will gather in New Delhi for the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, drawing over 75,000 participants.
From 2-5 November, New Delhi will host the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, with more than 130 nations expected to attend. Hosted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the summit coincides with the 9th International Solar Alliance Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen, creating a hub for policy, investment and technology dialogue. Organisers anticipate over 75,000 delegates, 400 exhibitors, 500 speakers and 90 curated sessions.
India, whose non-fossil capacity topped 304 GW in August 2026, seeks to reach 500 GW by 2030, requiring massive investment in generation, storage and green-hydrogen projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted India's status as the first G20 country to meet its Paris Agreement target, and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi urged governments and innovators to forge partnerships that lower clean-energy costs worldwide.
Why it matters
The summit could accelerate global clean-energy investment and help developing nations secure affordable renewable power.
