Indian ministers and BJP chief ministers travel by bus to BRICS gala dinner
Union ministers and several BJP chief ministers, including Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath, rode buses to the BRICS gala dinner in Delhi.
As the BRICS summit began, a convoy of buses carried Union ministers and BJP chief ministers to the gala dinner at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam. The delegation included Amit Shah, Kiren Rijiju, Yogi Adityanath, Nirmala Sitharaman, Rekha Gupta and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the dinner, welcoming leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Cyril Ramaphosa and other heads of state.
Over 100 performers, primarily Indian classical dancers and musicians, were slated to present a "BRICS Symphony" lasting about 20-25 minutes. The cultural program was organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. After the dinner, leaders toured the Bharat Innovates exhibition and planted trees on the convention centre grounds.
