Indian shooters win mixed team gold and rifle trio silver at Asian Games

Indian shooters rebounded at the Asian Games with Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet winning the mixed-team 10m air pistol gold after posting a combined 484.6 in the final. Their victory followed a dominant qualification round that placed them at the top of the leaderboard. In the men's 50m rifle three-position team event, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Patil and Niraj Kumar secured silver with a total of 1762, while China claimed gold with 1766 and Korea took bronze with 1751.

Tomar (589) and Niraj (588) qualified for the individual final, finishing fifth and eighth respectively after a series of shots in kneeling, prone and standing positions. The competition also saw China's Yukun Liu set a games record for the individual three-position gold, with Changhong Zhang earning silver and Kazakhstan's Satpayev Islam taking bronze. India missed medals in the men's and women's team rifle events.
