A 25-year-old man from Kurukshetra who had served in the French Army was allegedly stabbed to death in Frankfurt, Germany, leaving his family to arrange repatriation of his body.
Vishu Sharma, a 25-year-old from Mahadev Mohalla in Kurukshetra, travelled abroad after his family raised around Rs 20 lakh and sold a plot to fund his move. He first went to Portugal in November 2022, later shifted to France where he completed six months of military training and served in the French Army for about a year. After leaving the army he settled in Germany, organizing a team of delivery workers under his supervision.

The family learned on Wednesday that he had been stabbed to death in Frankfurt, and they are now handling formalities to bring his remains back to India. Police have not released details on the motive or the three individuals reportedly involved in the attack.
