IndiGo flight from Agartala to Delhi lands safely in Lucknow after cargo smoke alert

IndiGo flight 6E6504, scheduled from Agartala to Delhi, was forced to make an emergency landing at Lucknow after a smoke alert was detected in its aft cargo compartment. The aircraft arrived at 6:29 PM and emergency response teams, comprising airport fire and medical personnel, were deployed as a safety measure. On board were 103 passengers and six crew members, and all were evacuated without further incident.
Officials confirmed that no smoke was found after inspection. The event adds to a series of recent cargo-smoke warnings that have led to precautionary landings of other Delhi-bound flights at Lucknow, including two Air India Express incidents earlier in the year.
