Indonesia's MSME Ministry to boost loan access for laundry firms
The Ministry of MSMEs announced plans to help laundry businesses obtain KUR loans by linking them with participating banks.
During the Indonesian Laundry Association’s 11th anniversary event in Jakarta, MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman pledged that his ministry will facilitate access to KUR credit for laundry enterprises. He explained that officials will work with the association and banks in the program to expedite loan processing. While emphasizing the need for financial support, Abdurrahman called on laundry owners to strengthen business management and understand regional market conditions to avoid over-saturation.
The ministry will consider the association’s requests and coordinate with relevant agencies to address them. Overall, the initiative aims to embed the laundry sector’s development within the broader MSME empowerment strategy.
