In a violent incident in northeast Brazil, 21-year-old influencer Evelyn Lima Dantas was seized from her home, taken to the street and shot multiple times while her father watched. After the attack, the perpetrators marked the front of the house with the letters “TCP,” a nod to the Terceiro Comando Puro gang, before fleeing. Dantas had been under police scrutiny for allegedly aiding the killers of retired officer Antonio Anildo Alves da Silva, who was slain on July 29.
She had also faced earlier arrest on drug-trafficking charges tied to the gang and was released from custody on September 9. Investigators, including Rodrigo Lopes, are exploring whether the murder was a retaliatory act by the criminal organization.
