Instagram adds school-only Stories, Notes and club tools for verified students
Instagram has broadened its School Partnership Program, letting verified students see exclusive Stories and Notes and enabling schools to run clubs and channels.
Meta's Instagram has expanded the capabilities of its School Partnership Program. Verified students, whose identities are checked by UNiDAYS, will gain access to school-specific Stories and Notes that are hidden from non-students. Administrators can create clubs, teams and Channels to serve as centralized hubs for announcements, tryout calls and other community information.
These school-only channels can reach students, parents and teachers alike. Reports of bullying or harassment submitted by partner schools will move up in the moderation queue and receive a response within 48 hours. Additional perks include a school directory of verified peers and a custom banner visible only to fellow students. All features become active today.
Why it matters
The update gives schools a private space on Instagram to communicate safely and address bullying quickly.
