Intensive Care Unit Evacuated After Fire Breaks Out at Perth Hospital

A blaze erupted in a self-contained ICU room at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, prompting an evacuation and a rapid emergency response.

Around 10 a.m., a fire ignited inside a sealed area of the intensive care unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital, located in the southern part of Perth. Emergency crews responded and the ward was cleared of patients and staff. The flames were extinguished in roughly thirty minutes. Authorities have opened an investigation, and it is not yet known whether anyone sustained injuries.
