Inter and Lazio set to clash in pre-Christmas Supercoppa final, venue still undecided
The Supercoppa Italiana final between Inter and Lazio will take place before Christmas, with the location to be announced at the next Lega Serie A council.
President Ezio Maria Simonelli of Lega Serie A announced that the Supercoppa Italiana final, featuring Inter and Lazio, will be played sometime before Christmas. He added that details about the venue will be revealed at the next council gathering. After three seasons of a four-team tournament in Riyadh, the competition reverts to a head-to-head match between the Serie A and Coppa Italia double winners and the cup runners-up.
Sport Mediaset suggested possible dates in late December, but no specific day was confirmed. The league’s final round is set for the weekend of December 19, and the campaign will restart on January 2. The decision on the stadium remains pending.
