Inter Milan secure England wing-back Djed Spence on five-year deal

Inter Milan confirmed they have signed England wing-back Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year contract that expires on 30 June 2031. The Italian side reportedly paid roughly £30 million for the 26-year-old, according to British media. Spence departs North London after four years, during which he logged 85 matches and won the Europa League with Tottenham.

Limited starting chances led to loan periods at Rennes, Leeds United and Genoa before he cemented a place in the Spurs lineup. The England international also featured in Thomas Tuchel’s squad at the 2026 World Cup, making eight appearances, including the third-place playoff win. In Milan, Spence will be teammates with fellow England defender John Stones, who joined on a two-year contract after leaving Manchester City.
