Investigator suggests pre-planned murder in Great Wolf Lodge family killings
A private investigator says the knives used in the Great Wolf Lodge murders were not from the resort, indicating possible premeditation.
Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide for the deaths of her husband Charles "Chaz" and their 3-year-old son Tristan at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. A criminal complaint notes that the knives recovered at the scene featured teal-green handles, a style the lodge does not keep, suggesting they were brought from elsewhere. Harrison’s stepmother told investigators the family’s 401(k) account was drained prior to a three-week vacation, adding a possible financial motive.
Private investigator Rod Devine, based in the Lehigh Valley, said the combination of the weapon choice, the alleged financial move, and the method of killing points to a pre-planned act. Autopsies for both victims are underway, and Harrison remains jailed in Monroe County awaiting a court date on Oct. 21.
