Ipswich Town seal deal for Paraguay forward Julio Enciso from Strasbourg

Ipswich Town announced that they have reached an agreement to sign Paraguay forward Julio Enciso from French side Strasbourg. Enciso, 22, previously spent six months on loan at Ipswich in 2025 and caught the eye of new manager Gary O'Neil, who pushed for his early return. Strasbourg, which shares ownership with Chelsea through the BlueCo consortium, bought the player for £7.7 million last summer and anticipate a substantial profit from the deal.

Although the exact amount remains undisclosed, officials say it will represent a sizable portion of the remaining budget and may rival the £24 million paid for Emersonn earlier in the window. Ipswich have already added ten major players this summer, such as Daizen Maeda, Abdul Fatawu and record signing Emersonn, as they prepare for their Premier League opener against Sunderland on 22 August.
