Iran says a US strike hit a house during a wedding in Sirik, killing at least five people, including a child.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, accused the United States of bombing a home in Kuhestak during a wedding celebration, killing at least five individuals, one of them a child. Sirik County governor Reza Shahidiyan told IRIB that 63 others were wounded, including 50 women and children, and that the injured are being cared for in Minab hospital. A child survivor recounted hearing fighter jets and being struck by debris.
The US military announced a new wave of strikes on Iranian air-defence, radar, maritime and communications facilities, saying they were retaliation for IRGC attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
